In May we're going to discuss Twist by Colum McCann. It's a modern story which feels like an old one. A contemporary tale of the sea and the people who work on it, inspired by Conrad's Heart of Darkness and maybe also by Melville's Moby Dick.

Reading group
Dedicated to literature in English, the Reading Group “What happens next?” meets in the Biblioteca Civica once a month, on Friday at 6 p.m. Each event will focus on a different author or genre of English literature and will allow participants to practice talking about the stories. The discussions will be hosted by Jon Shave, teacher of English language and literature.
Participants require a knowledge of the language at the intermediate level or higher, curiosity about books and stories and the desire to get involved.
